Cricket Club Cafe - Eat Cricket, Drink Cricket, Watch Cricket!

Where can you munch a "Dickie Bird Burger" while sipping "Miandad Mango Magic" and finish off with "Bishan Bedi Brownie" for dessert!?

Yes, you need to head to the Cricket Club Cafe in Colombo for this amazing experience. Located in a colonial British bungalow with lovely verandahs and lawns, the cafe is a must visit for a Cricket lover. Even if you aren't one, it is an interesting place to hang out in Colombo and have pint of draught on a sunny afternoon!

This was one of the "Things to do" for us when we visited Sri Lanka during last Christmas. It was a lazy afternoon when we headed to this iconic place. As we entered through the large gate, we were greeted by signs with directions to all major cricket stadiums in the world!

Entering inside, we were pleasantly surprised at the display of Cricket memorabilia. Lovingly done by the Australian couple James and Gabrielle who have ensured that every visitor to the cafe go back with fond memories. The English pub named Bradman bar has many memorabilia of Sir Don. Each corner of the large house is dedicated to a Cricket playing nation and memorabilia of some of the legends of cricket is on display here.

Let us not now take you through a pictorial tour of the place.
